Cons: Good News and Bad News

It has been an up and down week, as far as convention news goes. First, the good:

The Festival of Oddities held last Saturday in Lansing was absolutely amazing. There were a ton of interesting vendors, book signings, lectures, and music. I’d love to tell you more, but I barely had a chance to get away from the tent. Attendance was amazing, I read that there were upwards of 10,000 people there. Plus, it was the perfect weather for an outdoor event.

Dragon’s Roost Press would like to thank everyone who came out, especially those who helped make it our best single sales day of 2019!

On the bad news front, those of you who were looking forward to our next Chicagoland appearance will have to wait a little longer. The organizers of the VampCon event which we were scheduled to participate in next weekend posted the following on their Facebook page:

“It is with deepest regret that we inform the community that we will be unable to have the convention as planned. There have been some recent circumstances hat will prevent several key personnel from being available to their full abilities at this time. The staff as a whole truly feel this will negatively affect the overall event and have agreed to postpone for a future date and time. we are all looking forward to VampCaon and we feel it will be better to wait until all members can give their best performance, than provide a substandard show for the attendees and guests alike.”

We wish the organizers the best and hope to participate in the future.

Finally, keep your eye on the Stalk Me Here page for some soon to be scheduled appearances.

Also, we’ve got another pretty kick ass announcement coming in the next day or two.
