A Trip to Victorie City

An interesting concept -- a fluke bit of bizarreness, the result of the execution of a killer, results in a serial killer with the ability to control electricity. He is pursued by the one honest cop on the Victorie City PD. Carmack weaves the fight against corruption and the search for the killer well, blending in aspects of classic noir with the fantastical. Templesmith's art, something I normally enjoy, fits the story well, the illustrations resembling sketches with shocking bursts of color. Unfortunately, it does make it a bit difficult to discern what is happening in some panels. Over all, the book is well done.
