Diablero is some serious demon fighting fun

I recently stumbled across the show Diablero on Netflix. The first season, all that is available at the present, is quite enjoyable. The show was filmed in Mexico and the audio is dubbed.1
The show follows a group of individuals who are trying to prevent the end of the world.
2 First off, there is Father Ramiro, a young priest who discovers that he is the father of a missing child. We see the young girl being abducted by a possessed man. In an effort to save his child, he enlists demon, um, capturer?, called a diablero Elvis Infante. They are soon joined by his sister Keta and Nancy. The former is skilled in the dark arts and the latter has an uncanny ability to be possessed by demons.

I don’t want to go much further because I don’t want to give away any major plot points. The show is funny, has some genuinely creepy moments, and has a couple of really good twists. Mind you, this is not award winning acting and some of the special effects are definitely TV quality, but others are actually pretty impressive. If you enjoy shows like
Supernatural and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, there is a high probability that you will find this a fun ride.

1 Fair warning for those who do not like dubbed material.

2 Natch.
