We're Bad, We're Nationwide!

I just found out that Desolation: 21 Tales for Tails is now available via Barnes and Noble on-line (in paperback and for the Nook) as well as on iBooks for iPad, iPhone, and iBook reading.
All of the links are available on the
sales page.

Digital Version Now Available Via Smashwords

We are pleased to announce that the anthology Desolation: 21 Tales for Tails is now available in various digital formats including epub, mobi, lrf, pdb, and txt via Smashwords.
The manuscript is currently being reviewed on Smashwords. With a little good luck it will be approved for sale for the Nook, iPad, and other devices soon.
We will be contacting our contributors and donors soon with details on how to acquire their digital copies.

Contributor Copies and Donor Perks Mailed Today!

Now that Desolation: 21 Tales for Tails is available for purchase, it is time that we addressed some other important things.
Like getting copies of the book to all of the people we owe copies of the book.
It took us the length of a movie (
The Possession, not bad), but we got all of the envelopes addressed.  Copies of the anthology will go out in the mail tomorrow to all of the Indigogo donors due a physical copy of the book and all of the contributors.
I’m honestly not sure what I need to do to get the contributor copies to the authors in the UK (2), Canada, and Argentina. I’ll find out tomorrow when I get to the post office.
Formatting for the digital copies is being done as we speak. Smashwords accepts ePub but only if you want it available in ePub and no other formats. In order to take full advantage of the website, the manuscript should be uploaded in Word format. This is perfect for someone who has a Word document all ready to go. For those who don’t use Word, not so much. It meant that all of the beautiful formatting done in InDesign had to be undone. The main problem I ran into (after wiping the tears from my eyes) was that I don’t use Word and not all of the instructions translated to Open Office or Libre Office (my Open Source equivalents).
In the end I finally found someone who was willing to reformat the manuscript for a slight fee. As soon as we have the finished copy it will be uploaded to Smashwords and all of the people waiting for a digital copy of the anthology will be contacted.
Once again, thank you all for your generosity.
